Comprised of vocalist Tommy Wood (Worlds Grasp, ex-Soul Sucker), drummer Matt Andrews (ex-Falsifier), and brothers guitarist Rick Beaulieu and bassist Rob Beaulieu, this isn't the first time No Echo has covered Rust before. The Canadian hardcore outfit first appeared on the site back in 2019 via their eponymous debut EP, and a year later when they dropped a standalone track called "Alter Ego."

Since forming a few years ago, Rust has released 2 EPs (S/T, a 4-way split with Ghaul, Depleted, and Plead, and have played over 25 shows before COVID stopped the fun.

This Friday (August 13th), Rust will be unleashing Promo 21, a 2-track digital release that was recorded at School House Studios in Hamilton, Canada with producer Nick Ginn. The cover art (scroll down) was done by Buffalo, NY artist, Jon Ruggiero.

In this No Echo exclusive, you can check out the Promo 21 song "Selling Death" via a visualizer made by Dylan Gould:

"'Selling Death' is about the ever growing issue of people getting caught up in their own ego so much that they are blind to how they treat others and perpetuate a standard of selfishness, dishonesty, and materialism," says singer Tommy Wood.

Promo 21 will be available across all streaming sites on Friday (August 13th). Hit the Spotify presave link right here.
