Hey there—Wyatt here for No Echo with a new video interview featuring Gregg Deal, frontman of the Denver punk rock band Dead Pioneers.
Gregg is a working artist and activist who has delivered TED Talks in the past, and his voice carries directly into the band’s music. Dead Pioneers channels his charismatic, pointed perspective on issues such as colonialism, fascism, and broader global concerns.
Since their self-titled debut in 2023, the band has quickly made an impact. In a short time, Dead Pioneers signed with Hassle Records, connected with Jello Biafra, and shared the stage with acts like Pennywise, Propagandhi, and even Pearl Jam. The band is set to release a new album, Wagon Burner, in June.
Wagon Burner doesn’t hold back. The latest single from the forthcoming album, “Never Alone,” includes a guest appearance from The Interrupters. The LP also includes keeps true to the band’s confrontational sound and message, and also features collaborations with Cheap Perfume and Sleaford Mods.
