Be Well: Baltimore Band Returns with Two Tracks of High-Quality Melodic Hardcore

It's great day today as we've been blessed not one but two new tracks from Be Well. The Baltimore outfit has teamed up with Equal Vision Records again to release “A Tap I Can’t Turn Off” and “Without a Compass,” a pair of shots of high-quality melodic hardcore.

“'A Tap I Can’t Turn Off’ is about the fear of disappointing the people in my life who have unconditionally loved and believed in me,” Be Well frontman Brian McTernan says. “It’s about feeling unworthy and ending up hurting the people I care about the most.”

Formed in 2019, Be Well finds McTernan joined by bassist Aaron Dalbec (Bane, Converge, Ten Yard Fight), drummer Shane Johnson (Fairweather), and the guitar team of Mike Schleibaum (Darkest Hour, Battery) and Peter Tsouras (Fairweather). Their self-titled debut EP came out that same year, followed by a full-length LP, The Weight and the Cost, in 2021, and 2022's Hello Sun EP.

Bringing us up to date, Be Well released "A Tap I Can't Turn Off" along with a music video for the track directed by Joseph Pattisall:

McTernan, who also produced the new material, shared this about  “Without a Compass":

“I have spent huge parts of my life feeling broken without any sense of how to start putting things back together. ‘Without a Compass’ is an acknowledgment of how hard that’s been, and my hope that I will figure things out at some point.”

The new songs come at a perfect timing as Be Well will be making appearances across the US and Germany during May and June, performing headline shows and supporting Hot Water Music and I Am the Avalanche on select dates.

“A Tap I Can’t Turn Off” and “Without a Compass" are both available across all digital streaming sites.
