Band: War Hero
From: Portland, Oregon
Their formation story:
(Brandon, vocals): "After the dissolution of my old band, I scoured Craigslist every day until I saw the word 'hardcore.' Fortunately, I finally came across one, and here we are.
Their sound in their own words:
"Straight-up, old school hardcore. The three influences that best help identify us are Poison Idea, Sheer Terror, and Youth of Today."
Latest release info:
"Plain and simple. 4 guys, 1 engineer (Joe Anderson) recorded some E standard hardcore, band practice styled. Songs about the everyday person, dealing with everyday struggles, but doing whatever they can to power through it."
Future plans:
"This new release should be out on tape within the next few months, and then we’re doing a little northwest run in April, which will most likely feature a new tour promo tape with a fresh batch of songs."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Guilt Tradition, Impermanence, Rise Up, Labrat, and Kurb."
