Band: Tiger Splitter
From: Lubbock, Texas
Their formation story:
(James Cordero, vocals): "We got our full lineup around 2022 with Erik Pagel and Tanner Battenfield on guitars, E.j Arzadon on bass, Jonah Payne on drums, and myself on vocals. We put out a 2-song promo in 2023 and our debut EP, Deadliest Game, in 2024."
Their sound in their own words:
"Real deal Texas Rock-n-Roll. Texas Hardcore with crossover and NYHC influences. Everyone brings something cool to the table and brings their influences in when we are writing."
Latest release info:
"We have been writing for a new EP and we wanted to put one of the songs ('Counterfeit') out to give everyone a sample of what we have cooking. The song is about dealing with fake people, seeing through peoples lies they tell themselves and others, and calling out people who's identity revolves around trying to be someone else, and not being an individual."
Future plans:
"We are finishing up writing and we are going to be recording soon with Maxwell Audio here in Lubbock, Texas. We are going to be playing July 25th in Odessa, Texas with Judiciary, Eternal, Aneurysm, and Dread, and July 26th in San Antonio, Texas with Merauder (only Texas date), Judiciary, Tribal Gaze, Fear of Loss, and Thru the Ashes.
"We're going to keep writing and playing shows when we can, 3 of us are dads. We'll hopefully do a Texas run with some good friends of ours sometime later this year."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Some bands from our area yall should check out are: Casual Dreamer, Gorred, Aneurysm, Blood and Paint, and Rattlesnake Milk."
