Band: Master Killer
From: Örebro, Sweden
Their formation story:
(Tobias, guitar): "Philip (guitar) and I both are in Lowest Creature as well. We started filling out time in the practice space when LC didnt rehearse as often, jamming out stupid ideas with me on sloppy drums and Phil on guitar. Philip is a songwriting machine and soon we had a few songs and asked some friends that we wanted to have a band with to join us. And that landed in the band we are now with Simon (drums), Carlos (bass) and Tim (vocals)."
Their sound in their own words:
"In the beginning, we were aiming to do some kind of death metal x hardcore thing but soon enough realised we missed playing more short and sweet more hardcore-style songs with real parts. Bands we like and talk a lot about in the band are Kickback, Merauder, Soul Search, Obituary, and Morbid Angel. So some kind of mix of those styles."
Latest release info:
"It’s just our demo. First four songs we finished and liked, recorded in the Existence/Speedway/Blood Sermon and so on rehearsal space with Erik LK from Existence doin the magic with the mic and mixes, and to our pleasure Negative Aggression was kind enough to get it physical on tape!"
Future plans:
"Play some shows, hopefully do some kind of weekend tour and just have fun with this new setting of people playing music together. Starting Sep 5 with Times of Desperation's release show in our hometown Örebro."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Dogfight: shit rules. Morbidly Obese: real-deal slam. Outstand: Göteborgs finest. Really, all Swedish hardcore bands are worth checking out."
