Their formation story:
(Andy, vocals): “LFS had always been a concept between myself, Jack (Brisco, drums) and Oscar (guitar) dating back years of jamming together, being introduced to hardcore and metalcore through bands like Converge, Gulch, and Disembodied.
“We collectively moved to Sheffield to study at uni where we met Will (guitar) and Heeds (bass). Together we attended as many shows with local and international bands as we could from acts like Whispers, Killing Me Softly and Cruelty really shaping us as to be the artists we are today.
“Over a year of experimenting and figuring out our sound lead to Demo '25.”
Their sound in their own words:
“We always wanna keep it an amalgamation of all our favourite sounds and bands and fit it in the lane of early metalcore, UK/Euro mosh metal and late '90s beatdown. Other than niche stylistic labels we always want to keep it danceable and violent and write real songs at the same time.”
Latest release info:
“Our demo was entirely a big DIY do between us and our mates, showcasing some of our favourite songs as a band that we’ve written over the past few months.
“Bradley O’dwyer was a massive help in getting our tunes recorded and fully mixing and mastering everything himself, without him the demo would probably still be in the works now.
"Getting the demo out and having our tunes out there has been a mega step up for us as a band and we are excited to see what comes of it.”
Future plans:
“We’re getting straight back into the writing process ready for a bigger release hopefully sometime by the end of the year. Constantly refining the setlist and playing more shows across the UK are also massive priorities for us. (Promoters shout us).”
