Band: Klątwa
From: Warsaw, Poland
Their formation story:
"Klątwa (The Curse in English) was formed out of a pure need to play raw, aggressive music sung in Polish. We got together in April 2025 and recorded four songs on tape in October."
Their sound in their own words:
"We play raw hardcore/punk and try to bring in a little bit of metal feeling, making it sound pissed off, loud, and aggressive. Our influences range from classic Swedish raw d-beat hardcore bands such as Anti Cimex or Totalitar, some great British metal punk bands like Sacrilege to modern bands mixing those styles well like Warthog. Singing in Polish can also bring Dezerter, Moskwa, and other Polish punk classics to mind."
Latest release info:
"We released a 4-song demo tape in December; you can listen to the songs on Bandcamp. It's sold out now, but it's going to be released on a 7" by Refuse Records this spring. Can't wait!"
Future plans:
We've got some shows booked around Poland, and we're going to play two incredible hardcore/punk fests, DIY HARDORE PUNK FEST vol.18 in Gdynia, and IZERO HARDCORE FEST this spring and summer. We're also waiting for our 7" to be out soon!"
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"You should definitely check Ohyda (La Vida Es un Mus) and Traume (Quality Control HQ). There are so many good bands in Poland now, so it's really hard to mention all of them!"
The Klątwa EP is available on vinyl via Refuse Records.
