Their formation story:
"Our guitarist, Ghost, had been feeling the urge to start an edge metalcore band since January of this year. We might be wrong, but we don’t think Jakarta has ever really had an edge metalcore band to call its own. That’s what led to the idea and the proposal to some friends about starting this band.
"The first person he asked was Shadow, our drummer. He’s a student from out of town who happens to be studying at a local college. Ghost and Krieg were already in a band together, so he brought him in next. Khesyr was the last person we asked to join and complete the puzzle. We always felt his vocals would fit perfectly in an edge metal project, which they did."
Their sound in their own words:
"All of us have always liked the idea of how metalcore can come in different shapes and forms, each with its own distinct sound. With Ezalor, we’re aiming to blend melodic metalcore riffs with a slightly more aggressive touch. Think of Undying and Drawing Last Breath meets Prayer for Cleansing and Sentence, and video games."
Latest release info:
"Condemned by Faith is a raw and honest record about doubt, pain, and the collapse of belief. We took inspiration from real moments of spiritual and emotional unraveling, times when everything felt like it was falling apart. Some of the lyrics even reference Bible verses, reflecting those struggles.
"We released it through Hellcanon Records, and thanks to Third Impact Records, cassettes are now available to order in the US with worldwide shipping as well. It means the world to us seeing something this personal reach beyond our own scene."
Future plans:
"Right now, our main plan is to play our first show. If we can scrape together enough money, we’d really love to put out an album at some point, since we’re just a bunch of broke college kids trying to make music with what we can.
"Beyond that, we are also hoping to release physical stuff like tapes, CDs, and merchandise with help from labels like Third Impact Records, Paper Wings Records, BBMA Records, Insist Records, and of course, Hellcannon Records."
