Band: Die With It
From: France and Belgium
Their formation story:
(Vinnie, vocals): "Yarne and I had been toying with the idea of starting a new band for a little while, and during Ieperfest 2025, we got talking with Eudes and basically started the band there and then. Elsa joined very shortly after, resulting in the band being half Belgian and half French."
Their sound in their own words:
"There are way too many eras and styles of hardcore to mention that probably influence us in some shape or form, so many bands I want to mention and glaze, but I think Die With It is currently taking the most inspiration from late '90s, '2000s mosh-focused NYHC like Everybody Gets Hurt, Billy Club Sandwich, Terror Ave, King Nine, etc.
"Hopefully, we can continue to grow closer to that sound in the future. It’s not only their sound, but also the live experience and vibe those bands have that really resonates with us."
Latest release info:
"The EP got written in a short space of time, two or three months for the bulk of it. Because there’s a 2 or 3-hour drive dividing half of the band, we are not really able to write music in a room together the old school way, so there’s a lot of handing over of riffs and recordings back and forth over the internet until there’s the structure of a song. I drove to France to record the drums in Eudes’ rehearsal space, and we recorded the rest of the instruments and vocals back at my place in Belgium.
"Our Finnish friends Aleksi and Tuukka (Fools Die and Blind Eye) recorded their guest feature in their rehearsal space (I think? in Finland, of course), and Phil (Life Turns Cold) came over to my place to brainstorm and record his feature. All the artwork was done by our drummer, Eudes, and all the promo and live photos were taken by my wife, Cara (grainispower). We want to do as much DIY as possible."
Future plans:
We’ve got a couple of shows planned, besides that, not too much (yet)? We’ve all come to a point in our lives where we’ll only play a show if someone wants us there. We aren’t bothered about playing the biggest shows or anything like that, so if we go months without playing, that’s alright. We’ll just continue going to local shows as normal and start working on new music when the time is right, and most of all when we have some spare time."
