Their formation story:
(Chris, guitar): “We formed in early 2024 with a different lineup but in late 2024 we settled on the current lineup we have now. It started off with me wanting to start a specific type of band but it took a while to find the right people.
"Me and Jason met at Salford Uni and we went through a few members and lots of discarded demos and riffs to get where we are now. With the first iteration of the band there were a lot of creative differences which resolved with the new lineup.”
Their sound in their own words:
“Our music is derived from several eras of metallic hardcore but a lot of the riffs and songs started as ‘how can I make this sound like an evil, leery, uncanny JRPG [Japanese Role-Playing Game] boss theme.' I take a lot of inspiration from video game music I grew up on.
"The songs I started writing as just metalcore songs also leaned into that further along in development. Usually after I tell people this they hear it but I think it’s what makes us stand out both musically and visually.”
Latest release info:
“The EP was written without an end goal in mind, it was mostly the result of a ruthless elimination process of various demos and riffs. I have a distinct sound I want to work towards in my head and this is the first step towards that. The meaning of the EP is behind the lyrics, the struggle that went into making it and what we learnt about the scene and ourselves whilst making it. Ultimately it’s about being yourself no matter how hard that is and not letting other people have any say on that.”
Future plans:
“Play as many shows as we can and start working on new music. We still want to be a moshy band but it’s definitely going to go in a much weirder direction. We are really excited for our future and are super grateful for all the love we have gotten from our live shows and release so early in our career. Thank you to everyone who’s checked us out!”
