Band: Defender
From: Indianapolis, Indiana
Their formation story:
(Terry Sharp, bass): "Defender started after a conversation between Ross (guitar/vocals) and me about making some old-school punk/hardcore. After a couple of lineup changes, we solidified the current lineup with Brett (drums/vocals) and Matt (guitar/vocals)."
Their sound in their own words:
"We are melodic punk with hardcore influences: Hot Water Music, Propagandhi, and Drug Church. For fans of Hot Water Music, Propagandhi, and Dillinger Four."
Latest release info:
"Our debut EP, Embrace the Fall, just dropped in December. It was recorded and mixed by Carl (Clandestine Recording) and mastered with Wes (Holy Ground Recording). It was essentially self-released."
Future plans:
"We are booking shows locally around Indianapolis as well as regional dates to promote the album."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Indianapolis has many amazing bands, including Crossfire, Driving at Night, Graveripper, Mother of Graves, Idiot, Veilcaste, and Kiritsis."
