Their formation story:
(James, vocals): "Henry (bass), Kerry (guitar), and I knew each other through working in the Copenhagen restaurant industry. We were at a gig (High Vis/Pain of Truth at Loppen). The show was sick, and we decided there to start a band, but we knew it would be impossible to find a drummer.
"Oli was working the venue and came over to kick us out as they were closing. We’d never met, and we mentioned we were in the middle of an important chat about starting a band. He asked, do you need a drummer? That was it.
"We needed an outlet from our busy lives, and some of us are dads! Oliver, Kerry, and Henry are all from the UK, and I'm from Adelaide. We all grew up around the hardcore scene of the early 2000s."
Their sound in their own words:
"To be fair, we feel like we are still discovering our sound. For our very first jam together, we covered No Warning, Carry On, and Have Heart! But we don’t necessarily sound similar. When we started writing our own songs, they came out the way they did. We just want to sound like explosive hardcore that makes people move."
Latest release info:
"We recorded in Berlin with our good friend Liam (Big Brave, Aicher, Eros), who works with Boris Wilsdorf, an OG of the German industrial scene. We rocked up and recorded 4 songs live in 2 days. It was fun and raw. We’re stoked how it turned out and can’t wait to do another this year."
Future plans:
"More shows, more releases. The scene in Copenhagen is pretty small compared to other cities. Hardcore is going through an amazing time, and we hope that continues to build in Copenhagen as well. We’ve talked about booking shows, and along with the dream of putting on an all-day fest.
"Beyond that, we just plan to travel as much as we can to see shows in other countries. There are so many amazing shows going on these days. I can’t wait to attend Outbreak Fest in Manchester, UK again this year."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"In Denmark, Eyes, Lifesick, and Rot Away are making noise. We love what’s happening in Sweden; Speedway, Bulls Shitt, Existence, and Modern Guilt. We love what’s going on in the UK too, Dynamite, Turn of Phrase, Wits End, the whole Northern Unrest movement is incredible!"
