Their formation story:
(Sam Squalid, guitar): "Grim (vox) and myself had been vaguely acquainted for over a decade through seeing each other at shows in Birmingham, sometimes involving our previous bands. We finally hung out together at a house show in Leicester last year and decided to do a band together pretty much instantly!
"Bassist Grave is a long-time trooper who’d done/is doing bands with us both; Spike (drums) was recruited through my buying pumpkin seeds from a local health-food store where he begrudgingly works as a Customer Service Assistant—unbeknownst to me at the time, he’d also played in many Birmingham bands."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our cornerstones are blackened/death metal-inspired crust, punk and metal; I’d categorize us as a chaotic crust band with metal flavors. Corrupt Moral Altar, Nuclear Death Terror, Black Breath, Poison Idea, Martyrdöd, Wolfbrigade, and Agnosy get plenty of eartime in my life."
Latest release info:
"Our debut recording is called From the Pantheon of Failed Endeavours, a 7-track cassette released through FHED Records. It was recorded mostly live-and-dangerous one Sunday a few months ago at Stuck On a Name Studios in Nottingham by the delightful Ian Boult, and we’re stoked with the ferocity of what comes through the speakers: grinding, blackened deathcrust! Obviously it can be purchased through the label or from our Bandcamp."
Future plans:
"We’ve got some shows coming up in the Midlands, and hopefully this release will build us up for playing more; I’ve demoed riffs for a first album, so we can get on that in the autumn, too."
