Band: Ancient X Ones

Their formation story:
(Josh, vocals): "We’ve all been pretty good friends for some time, all meeting in the local scene throughout the years. Derek, one of our guitarist, and I have always played with the idea about starting a straight edge project, put out a demo, maybe a one-off show, just for the fun of it.
"In October of ‘23, we finally pulled the trigger on the idea. With members already mind, we asked everyone pretty much collectively. Everyone was down. We’ve had so much fun together since our first link-up we just kept going. What was supposed to be a one-off project became an actual band."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our sound is very in your face, fast-paced hardcore. We have inspirations from traditional hardcore punk bands as well as more heavier hardcore. We definitely lean more towards that traditional real-deal hardcore sound. We take inspiration from bands like Ceremony, No Tolerance, Minority Unit, and Right Brigade."
Latest release info:
"Our latest release is a single track and music video; 'Black & White Mentality.' The song is probably the one that sets the tone for us as a band attitude-wise. It’s a middle finger for fools that talk the talk but don’t walk it. They have the loudest opinion and have a brain-dead delusion that they have a footing in anything they speak on. Often times from people who don’t contribute to anything at all."
Future plans:
"We’re gonna drop our demo by the summer, as well as having a release show. So be on the look out for that. Other than that, we’re just taking it day by day, having a good time."
