Brooklyn's F.A.C.A have built their name on a sound that refuses to pull punches. Today, the band shares "Decree of Chaos," the first track from their upcoming EP, Fighting Against Certain Annihilation, set for release on October 23.
"Decree of Chaos" pushes F.A.C.A's approach a step further, blending English and Spanish lyrics over tightly wound riffs and heavy breakdowns. The track draws directly from the band's Brooklyn roots, channeling the city's grit and tough reputation.
Today, No Echo is premiering the official music video for the song.
According to vocalist Beavis, the concept behind "Decree of Chaos" is rooted in self-examination rather than external conflict.
"Decree of Chaos begins with a simple, uncomfortable idea: chaos isn't decreed from the outside, it's signed with the things we say," he explains. "The video holds the tension between the figure who accuses and the reflection that answers back: a trial where accuser and accused are the same person, and where silence acquits no one. There's no villain at the end of the hallway, only a mirror that was there the whole time."
Director Angelica Bianca Jimenez brings those ideas into focus, matching the song's intensity with visuals that center on confrontation and self-examination.
With Fighting Against Certain Annihilation, F.A.C.A continue to carve out their place in Brooklyn's heavy music community, pushing their bilingual sound forward without losing sight of where they come from. "Decree of Chaos" sets the tone for an EP shaped by urgency and purpose.
