I've been paying attention to the Louisville hardcore scene since the early '90s, and a big reason for that was Endpoint. The band started playing together in 1987 under the name Deathwatch, eventually morphing into Endpoint.
Endpoint broke up in 1994, but not before touring throughout the U.S., and releasing a handful of records throughout their time together. Of their four studio albums, 1992's Catharsis is my favorite.
Originally released by Doghouse Records, Endpoint lean into the catchier side of their sound on the LP, bringing to mind the melodic hardcore associated with the Revolution Summer era.
With that in mind, I'm happy to help announce that Equal Vision Records will be releasing an expanded and remastered version of Catharsis. The album will be available on double LP vinyl with an etching on the D side and feature 17 tracks, an expansive collection that includes Endpoint’s Idiots EP as well as songs from the split 7" with Sunspring.
