Their formation story:
(Victor Mata, vocals): "The idea for a band I had been shooting around for a while with guitarist Fhernando when we were in college circa 2019, and always wanted to play with our drummer Raul but it never really came into fruition until much later.

"In 2022, Fhernando and I met bassist Mur at a 200 Stab Wounds show and told him we wanted to start a band and needed a bassist, so he told us he wanted to be in a hardcore band and so we started practicing in 2023.

"At first, we were going for a more traditional groovy sound, akin to Backtrack and Trapped Under Ice. I found it difficult to be comfortable with those styles of vocal patterns and to come up with ideas for songs. As we were practicing, one day I went to go get a tattoo and ran into Joseph who I had being seeing at shows for a solid year or two and he knew about us practicing to be in a band and disclosed to me he wanted to be in a hardcore band and I asked the guys if they were down for a second guitarist and they were on board.

"Once Joseph came into the fray, we found the songs getting faster, coupled with mine and Raul's proclivity towards blast beats, mine and Joseph's inclination towards Motörhead, and everyone in the band liking Nails and Weekend Nachos the sound started shifting.

"One practice session Fhernando came up with an evil ass riff which would go on to be the main riff in a song off our demo, Estamos Jodidos, we really liked the approach so we oriented the sound to be faster, looser and more in line with what we do now."

Their sound in their own words:
"I like to describe ourselves as rock and roll power violence, we try and incorporate elements of d-beat, '80s metal, power violence, heavy hardcore, and even death metal. The goal is to be able to play any lineup, whether its at some DIY punk show, or at some venue in a more professional setting, we are for the rockers.

"I also use the term 'rock and roll' loosely as I like to think hardcore music is the last true vestige of rock and roll, where music is meant to be played fast, loud and be visceral."

Latest release info:
"Newest release thus far is a song 'The Mace,' track 5 off our upcoming self-titled LP, slated to release next month. I feel it contains the sound we have been solidifying, bit of a departure from the demo but we are a lot more confident and in tune with what we have now. 'The Mace' is about a man, my uncle, who is in the throes of the vices that would later go on to be the reason for his demise."

Future plans:
"Releasing the LP, and playing whatever cool shows we can, as well as a West Coast run."

What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Axe Collector, Way of Earth, Gaining Ground, Yield, Grayout, Intermission."
