Band: It's A Setup

Their formation story:
(Hayes, guitar/vocals): "Parker and I wanted to get together and jam some faster stuff for fun. His brother Mason came along as well. We ended up getting some cool ideas and started to play together regularly. Eventually, we decided to make a band out of what we were doing, so we took our name from a Bucket Full of Teeth song and started getting ready for our first show."
Their sound in their own words:
"Musically, we’re really influenced by a lot of the stuff that was coming out of the Chicago area in the '90s (MK-Ultra, Los Crudos, Charles Bronson), but also wanted to mix that with more chaotic stuff like Orchid and Converge, and early metallic stuff like Struggle and Groundwork.
"We also come from the line of thought that hardcore is inherently political, and we’re very into all the bands that talk between songs and have cool writings in their liner notes. We believe hardcore should be more provocative; we aim to get people to think for themselves and emphasize the importance of standing up for what you believe in."
Latest release info:
"We will have a 7” out on Two Two One Press. 8 songs, 10 minutes. It’s also available for streaming wherever you listen to music."
Future plans:
"We're looking to do a split with another cool band. We have some songs we’re sitting on that we’re really proud of. We’ve recently added my brother Everett on as a 2nd bass player, and have started to explore noisier territory. We’re also hoping to do a little tour this winter down to California and back."
