Band: Get Your Gun

Their formation story:
(Gavin, drums): "Get Your Gun started in a very small town called Eastvale, and the area we grew up in had zero punk or hardcore influence. Some friends and I from high school had been playing in punk and hardcore-adjacent bands until we discovered Youth Crew, and we all gravitated toward that style and started writing music."
Their sound in their own words:
(Gavin): "Boston Hardcore is what inspired most of what you hear in our demo. I took a lot of inspiration from Have Heart for the guitar and drums. Watching countless Hate5six videos inspired the way we wanted crowds to feel, and we wrote tracks meant to be danced to.
"Being in the Inland Empire, so many beatdown-style bands have come out on top, and we set out to have more positivity at shows. Some other bands that influenced us are Mental, Floorpunch, Stop and Think, Minority Unit, and Righteous Jams."
Latest release info:
(Ivan, vocals): "We have been writing for the better part of a year. We kept going through lots of versions of songs. We really wanted to make sure that we were able to achieve that Youth Crew sound, and the bands inspired us to be what we are today.
"Making songs not only for us, but for the youth."
Future plans:
(Ivan): "As for our future plans, we want to continue to keep writing and make more music, but also work to get as many shows as possible to get our name out there. We want to continue to bring people to the Inland Empire to see bands like us."
