Their formation story:
(Ian, vocals): "Our drummer, Chase, and I have been longtime friends—best friends—and have been playing music together for a while. We’d been trying to get this project off the ground for a couple of years, with members coming and going since 2021. (I wrote all the songs on the first record.)
"In 2024, Chase and I decided, 'Fuck it! We’ll just track everything ourselves.' So we booked a studio date and recorded it all in two days. After most of the instrumentation was done, we decided we wanted someone who could really shred on guitar (I cannot, haha) to lay down some leads. We reached out to our good friend Eddie Brnabic, who lives about six hours away. He recorded the leads at his home studio in Portland.
"Once we released the record ourselves, Chase and I carefully recruited friends we knew we’d get along with and who could play well. Now Poise is me (Ian) on vocals, Chase on drums, Jack on bass, and Micah and Mikey on guitars."
Their sound in their own words:
"We like to refer to ourselves as an 'anarcho d-beat punk' band, but everyone has their own way of describing subgenres [laughs]."
Latest release info:
"We’ve been playing a cover of 'Born to Die' by MDC for a few months now, so one day, while demoing some new songs we’d been working on, we decided, “Fuck it, let’s just record this cover live and put it out!”
Future plans:
"We’re currently finishing up some new songs with the intention of recording a new EP this fall! We’re also booking a short Pacific Northwest run with our good friends, Battlesex."

"Reaping Fields, Psychic Death, Grave Depression, Violent Abuse, Folding Chair....there are a lot of really great hardcore punk bands in our area, so the list could be bigger [laughs]."
