Their formation story:
(Jack Chambers, guitar): “We've all been going to shows since our teens, in various parts of the world. Our singer Filip in Poland, our drummer Jordan in New Zealand/Australia, and the rest of us all over the UK. Myself and Filip met a few years ago and later realized we were always at the same shows so he introduced me to some of his mates, which included Rob (bassist) and Jordan and we ended up hanging out a lot.
"We'd been toying with the idea of starting a band for a while, and they had mentioned another guy, Jack Collins (guitarist) who was interested, and aside from the annoying fact that we have the same first name and initials, we cracked on. We met up for a practice and spent it covering Hatebreed songs, then within a few sessions we had our first tune written and kept going from there!”
Their sound in their own words:
“We never really went into it with a specific sound in mind, we just knew we wanted to make a hardcore band so we could play shows and have our mates beat each other up. We've got such varying tastes when it comes to heavy music, Rob loves death metal, Collins is a fast, punk, side-to-side guy, Filip's a hardcore purist who seems to know every band, even if they were formed last week, I love hardcore just as much as I love Gojira and Deftones (which is a lot) and Jordan...well Jordan's easy, he likes everything.
"It's ended up forming into what has been described to us by our mates as 'early Hatebreed if it was written by London beatdown kids' and I don't think that's a bad thing at all. We want fast parts, two-steps, breakdowns, mic grabs. It seems a waste to have so many influences and then just stick to one thing. We're a hardcore band, and everything that comes under that umbrella.”
Latest release info:
“We got a fair few songs done and always knew we wanted to get recording sooner rather than later. Once we had a track list of our favourites ready, we booked in to record with Boulty at Stuck on a Name studios in Nottingham. Collins had recorded with him in his old band and he lived up to the surrounding legacy, an absolute diamond as a man and producer!
"We'd all played in bands before but it was still such a great feeling to start seeing our efforts coming to fruition. We had a great time recording it and the reception so far has been great. We weren't expecting much but it's exceeded expectations.”
Future plans:
“We've started booking shows now and just want to try and get out and play anywhere and everywhere, any excuse to travel the UK. We've got more music already recorded which we're excited to release soon and we plan on getting back in the studio later in the year, as we're
already sick of playing the same songs over and over again, a pain most new bands will understand!"
