Band: Gassed
From: Queens, New York
Their formation story:
(Logan Knowles, guitar): "Gassed was formed by our vocalist, Micha, who assembled like-minded friends with the intent of creating aggressive music rooted in '80s hardcore punk, d-beat, and fastcore."
Their sound in their own words:
"We keep our songs short and fast, built to hit like a punch in the face. We use big amps for maximum damage. We play short songs for maximum aggression."
Latest release info:
"Gassed has one release; our Demo 2025, which captures our aggression and intent. We took inspiration from ’80s punk records, with fast-paced, stripped-down riffs and driving d-beat rhythms, while keeping the intensity and energy of the modern hardcore bands we love."
Future plans:
"We just recorded a single with Taras Apuzzo (All Out War, Cult Dialect) that we plan to release on an upcoming compilation. In January 2026, we’ll be recording an EP with legendary producer Don Fury, known for seminal records by Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, and Dropdead. We’re fired up, and we’re aiming to capture that same hostility."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"God’s Favorite, our sister band who we share our drummer and many shows with. PILLOWBITER, our good friends who just pressed their visceral record, 6 SONGS, on vinyl. Steamroll, the straight edge hardcore band in New York City right now."
