Band: Bad Image
From: Seattle, Washington
Their formation story:
(Jaedyn, vocals): "Matt (guitar) and I formed the band in 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona inspired by classic punk and hardcore bands of the '70s and '80s. We relocated to Seattle, Washington in 2022, where we started handing out promo tapes to find members. We met Dayton (bassist) and Richie (drummer) through those tapes, and have been playing up here together the past couple years."
Their sound in their own words:
"I would describe our sound as classic hardcore punk. We are energetic, loud, and fast, while taking a pop approach to song structure. We're inspired by all kinds of music; some of our early influences being Plasmatics, Motörhead, and Pure Hell, and some of our contemporary inspirations include S.H.I.T., Sex Pill, and Bib."
Latest release info:
"Our newest release, II, started as a concept about how we're living in a dystopian future. There are so many issues with modern day society, and I wrote about some of those topics and how they also affected me mentally. Musically, we wanted something that fit those themes; overall it came out sounding frantic, desperate, and filled with anger."
Future plans:
"We are having vinyl pressed of II by Blind Rage Records that will be available soon. We're also playing Northwest Hardcore Fest in Portland, Oregon on August 17th and touring through the Southwest in October."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Some active Washington bands you should check out are Spurr, Puritan, Skelm, Fan Club, the Gobs, and Physique."
