The brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Martin Diaz (formerly of hardcore act Mikoto), In Transmission has been playing together since 2011. Rounded out by drummer Garrett Carroll (A Music Box Serenade), guitarist Daniel Cardoza (A Fall Farewell), bassist Darrell Schwaigger, and guitarist Jerome De Leon (guitar), their sound melds post-hardcore with the exploratory sounds of such bands as Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, and Sigur Rós.
In Transmission has just released a new EP called Betterment which finds them leaning into a post-hardcore sonic space. The EP was produced by Beau Burchell (Saosin, Senses Fail) at his private studio in Temecula, California, with drum tracking done at Pale Moon Ranch in the San Gabrial Mountains.
