Force Model: Los Angeles Group Brings ‘90s Alt.Rock Vibes on “Drowning Flower’s Pot”

Force Model is a Los Angeles-based band founded by Edie Vogel (guitar/vocals) and Ken Arimura (drums), two musicians that first met in their early 20s while playing in various bands in their local scene. With the help of guitarist Preston Mendell, the duo tracked demos while developing their sound.

After welcoming bassist Maxwell Moore into the fold, Force Model was formed in a downtown LA jam room in the summer of 2021. Plying their trade on the live circuit, the band's aggressive yet catchy sound was captured on their forthcoming debut album, Found Camera.

Check out a track from the album called “Drowning Flower’s Pot” to get a taste. There's a certain '90s alt.rock vibe coursing through the song, Maybe Kim Gordon fronting Girls Against Boys? Pretty cool.

The album features 10 tracks "taking influence from West Coast garage-rock, as well as '90s post-hardcore and power-pop songwriting."

Found Camera will arrive across all digital music outlets on February 23rd, and on cassette through Bug Body Records. Look out for Force Model on tour for the first time in 2024.
