Their formation story:
(Joe, vocals): "Honestly, this whole thing started as a jam session. Danny (our guitarist) and I have been best friends forever. He's been riffing for as long as I can remember. He hit me up saying he wanted to jam. I'd never been in a band before, but I said, 'Fuck it. I know a few guys who are down. Let's just have fun.' Six months later, we had five songs in the tuck and our first show booked."
(Danny, guitar): "It all happened so fast. I hadn't played music in a long time, but everything just started coming together. We've been a band for a little less than a year now. Joseph is Joe's brother, so finding a great drummer was easy. Michael joined a few months in, and Sean recently came aboard, really balancing everything out. It's been badass getting to play with my best friends."
Their sound in their own words:
(Danny): "My biggest influences for our sound are Power Trip, Metallica, Enforced, and Iron Age. I love fast, heavy music with hard riffs, so that's what I try to write. Crossover feels like the best fit for us. We have fast thrash energy with a hardcore skeleton. We have riffs that would fit in a Power Trip song but a song structure that Stick Together might write."
Latest release info:
(Joe): "We recently dropped our first track, 'Logic of the Sword,' on the United Aggression five-way split with a lot of really sick Texas hardcore and metal bands. A few of our members are in other bands, so we thought it would be dope to create a showcase of all the heavy music coming out of San Antonio. 'Logic of the Sword' is about feeling hopeless seeing so much war, group conflict, and an 'us versus them' mentality while wondering if there's a solution to it all."
Future plans:
(Danny: "Honestly, just playing shows and recording. We're really excited to get our music out there. We've got studio time booked in August, so we'll be recording an EP that's hopefully out before the end of the year."
