Featuring Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools), Zach Blair (Rise Against, Hagfish), Autry Fulbright (...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead), and Jamie Miller (TheSTART, Snot), Vanishing Life is a new band doling out post-hardcore the way I like it: catchy and rhythmically propulsive.
Vanishing Life will be releasing their debut 7" on Oct. 14 via Collect Records; a label Geoff Rickly (No Devotion, Thursday) runs with Norman Brannon (Texas is the Reason, Shelter). "People Running" comes off the 7", and as expected from any Schreifels-related project, it delivers the goods. The song's hard-charging arrangement is driven by a simple, punk-rooted drum attack from Miller, while Schreifels and Blair keep their guitar parts simple and to the point.
I can't wait to see what else these dudes come up with.
