"What’s it going to take to fucking change if these habits are ingrained," barks Incendiary vocalist Brendan Garone in the very first line of "The Product Is You," and for the next 2-plus minutes, he continues the brutal wake-up call.
Lifted from Incendiary's forthcoming Thousand Mile Stare album, "The Product Is You" is a rally cry for someone who has had enough of being a mere line item in the eyes of the government. The music supporting Garone's grievances is a clinic in metallic hardcore. The mid-tempo chorus is a monster, with a depressive guitar riff riding over a crashing cymbal and Garone screaming, "'Cause we’re just a zero on the page!" Drummer Dan Lomeli's metronome-like precision holds everything down perfectly.
If the rest of their new album is as good as "The Product Is You" is, Thousand Mile Stare is going to be a real treat.
