With a legacy in hardcore that includes such genre heavy-hitters as Zero Tolerance and Slugfest, Buffalo, New York has been a hotbed for the scene since the late '80s. One of the younger bands coming out of the region is Disrepair, a 5-piece that keep their style of pissed-off hardcore free of any filler. Driven by a Swedish crust-worthy tone, guitarists Khari Waits and Dylan Roberts provide both fast-paced and chug-styled riffs that make "Caged Animal" a winner. To top it off, vocalist Jorden Cudzilo delivers the song's lyrics with a vitroil fit for the guitars' abrasive sonic attack.
