Orange County, California band Cracked was brought to my attention by Burt of Safe Inside Records. We were talking shop when he told me that he would be releasing a 7" from the group featuring a few songs off of their 2017 demo, along with some new material. I immediately went over to Cracked's Bandcamp page to hear what they were about, and I'm definitely happy that I did.
Upon first listen, my attention was instantly hooked by Kevin's Ray Cappo-esque vocal delivery. The way his singing cuts through the band's driving, youth crew-inspired musical onslaught is infectious. With its ominous and slow-crawling intro section, "Just One More" is my favorite track on Cracked's 2017 demo. At about the halfway section of the song, the guys speed up and go for the jugular. This is the kind of hardcore that if done right, will always have a special place in my heart.
