Chemical X has been kicking up their take on Orange County, CA hardcore since forming back in 2013. There ain't nothing complicated going on here, folks. This young band delivers the goods in a straight-up, no bullshit kind of way.
"Cop Block" comes off Chemical X's recent EP 17 release and it's got a hell of a gang vocal-assisted chorus. It's easy to envision a massive crowd pile-on while listening to the track. "While I'm walking down the street / going to the corner just to grab a bite to eat / cop blocked!," go the lyrics during that section, and that's the kind of shit that I will never grow tired of, even as a 40-something dad.
