For a band to stay together for a decade in punk is now small feat. So, with that in mind, you can't blame Swedish outfit Signo Rojo for planning several celebratory events around their 10-year mark together. The first focus of said celebration will be End of Tether, a new 3-track EP that will serve as an appetizer for Signo Rojo's next album, their follow-up to 2017's Svårfödd.

With a sound that is rooted in both hardcore punk and sludgy metal, Signo Rojo make the kind of music fans of Amebix, Entombed, and Neurosis can get behind in a huge way. In this exclusive, No Echo is bringing you "End of Tether," the EP's ominous title track:

Signo Rojo sent me this statement about the song:

“The title track of our new EP End of Tether is about the desperation of being stuck in the rat race of current society. And also, on a more personal level, partially based on the band’s struggles and misfortune with our previous release, Svårfödd, which had a legendarily troubled birth. A furious kicking-off point for the new EP which is thematically dealing with topics of disillusionment and frustration with the world we all share."

Signo Rojo will support the EP performing shows across Sweden and beyond while completing their next full-length album. Check out a trailer for the EP here.

End of Tether will see its digital release on Feb. 15th. Stay tuned to Signo Rojo's Facebook page to stay on top of the action.
