Back in April, the Melvins released their latest studio album, Pinkus Abortion Technician, their first full-length to feature two bass tracks on every song, courtesy of Steve McDonald (Redd Kross, OFF!) and Jeff Pinkus (Butthole Surfers). As a bassist myself, I fully support the American rock institution's choice of paying tribute to the Bottom End.
Since the release of Pinkus Abortion Technician, the Melvins have been out on an extensive North American tour, and the traveling circus just hit (July 29) hallowed Minneapolis music venue First Avenue where contributing No Echo photographer Andy Wilcox was there to snap some pics for posterity. -Carlos Ramirez
